Taupo Fly Fishing trips - Prices and trip information

Single day fly fishing trips from Taupo

Summer trips - Superb backcountry fly fishing, rivers and streams accessed by comfortable 4WD. Nymph and dry fly fishing for wild brown and rainbow trout that will happily take a well presented fly.

Heli fly in - Available Oct- April, price available on request.

Winter trips - Fly fishing Taupo's famous steelhead rivers. These fish average just under 4Lbs and fight like freight trains.

Day trips are suitable for the beginner or experienced anglers. (Full tuition provided for beginners)

What you need to bring along - fishing gear (optional), rain coat, suitable clothing (see equipment) and camera.

 

Half day Taupo fly fishing trips

Includes guide(tuition), transport and use of equipment if required.

To really experience the different fly fishing available we recommend doing a number of days from Taupo. We will even give you a discount off the daily rate if you do 4 days or more. Fishing is on a different river or stream each day. You may also consider an Overnight/Multi day backcountry trip.
